Airline logos and CO₂ data for corporate travel platforms
Travel management companies and corporate travel tools show the airline on every itinerary, approval request, expense line and trip report. The logostream Airline Logo API returns the logo for an IATA or ICAO code (1,100+ airlines) in your booking data, and the Carbon API calculates CO₂ per flight and passenger by cabin class, so a trip report can show who flew and what the trip emitted.
- FRA to JFK12 MarBusiness1,240 kg
- JFK to ORD13 MarEconomy148 kg
- ORD to SFO14 MarEconomy296 kg
- SFO to SEA15 MarEconomy118 kg
- SEA to FRA17 MarBusiness1,580 kg
Logos are requested with GET /airlines/iata/{iata} or /airlines/icao/{icao} (logo-transparent). The trip, dates and CO₂ figures are made up and are not output of the Carbon API.
Why trip reports need airline logos and CO₂ data
A trip report is read by people who never saw the booking: the approver, finance, the sustainability team. They scan it by airline, and a row with only a code and a carrier name slows them down. Booking exports carry codes, not images, so teams keep a folder of logos that goes stale, while the CO₂ per trip often lives in a separate spreadsheet, away from the itinerary.
How to add logos and CO₂ to itineraries and expense lines
Take the airline code from the booking record, request the logo and print it next to the route wherever the trip appears: itinerary, approval request, expense line, policy list. For the footprint, send each flight to the Carbon API with its cabin class and add up the per-leg figures by trip, traveller or airline. Fares, bookings and policy decisions stay in your own system; logostream supplies the airline branding and the reference data.
How do corporate travel tools show logos and CO₂ in trip reports?
A booking record carries IATA or ICAO airline codes. The tool requests each logo with GET /airlines/iata/{iata} or GET /airlines/icao/{icao} and prints it beside the route: logo-transparent on white report pages, logo-white on dark headers, icon-transparent or tail in dense tables.
For the footprint, POST /v1/carbon takes from and to airport codes, or raw text from a booking snippet, plus optional airline, aircraft, cabin_class and passengers. It returns CO₂ per leg and per passenger and names its methodology, ICAO Carbon Emissions Calculator v13.1. The figures are per-flight estimates, not an audit.
Logos are PNG on every plan, up to 200px on Free and 600px on Startup, with SVG on Pro and Enterprise. Startup allows logo caching for up to 24 hours, while Free logos are requested live. The Free plan includes 20,000 requests per month. For Carbon API access, see the docs.
Where corporate travel tools show airlines and CO₂
Itinerary and expense reports
Put the airline on every flight line. The code in your booking export is the only key you need. Next to each line you can print a CO₂ figure for that leg from the Carbon API, so finance and sustainability read the same document.
Trip approval
Show the approver the carrier, route and cabin on the request itself, with the footprint beside the cost. A logo makes the card readable at a glance in an app, an email or a chat message, and the decision sits next to the facts it depends on.
Preferred-carrier policy
Policies name carriers: preferred, allowed, needs approval. Render that list with logos and badges in the booking flow and in settings, so travellers and travel managers see the same airline identity. The rules stay in your system; the logo is one lookup by code.
CO₂ reporting per trip
Roll the per-leg figures up by traveller, department, quarter or airline. The Carbon API takes IATA or ICAO codes, optionally an aircraft type, and a cabin class, and names the methodology it used. A chart with airline logos reads faster than a table of codes. The numbers in the mockup are made up.
Fetch a logo, then request CO₂ for the same flight
Fetch a logo for an itinerary line, then request the CO₂ for that flight (the second call needs a plan with the Carbon API, see the pricing page and the docs)

- Airline logo by IATA code
GET /airlines/iata/{iata}The lookup behind the logos in the demo; GET /airlines/icao/{icao} works the same for three-letter codes. Variants include logo, logo-transparent, logo-white, tail and icon-transparent. PNG on every plan, SVG on Pro and Enterprise.
- CO₂ per flight
POST /v1/carbonTakes from and to (IATA or ICAO airport codes) or raw_text from a booking snippet, plus optional airline, aircraft, stopovers, cabin_class and passengers. Returns CO₂ per leg and per passenger, calculated per ICAO Carbon Emissions Calculator v13.1. For plan access, see the pricing page and the docs.
- Routes
GET /v1/routesRoutes between airports with operating airlines, distance and an estimated duration. Each route also carries co2_kg, a simplified per-passenger estimate from the distance. At least one filter is required. Routes API, included on every plan.
| Endpoint | Spec summary | What it returns |
|---|---|---|
| GET /airlines/iata/{iata} | Airline logo by IATA | The airline's logo as SVG or PNG, in the variant you choose |
| GET /v1/routes | List routes | Routes between airports with operating airlines, distance, estimated duration and a simplified per-passenger co2_kg; at least one filter is required |
| POST /v1/carbon | CO₂ emissions calculator (ICAO CEC v13.1) | CO₂ per leg and per passenger from structured airport codes or raw booking text; the response names the methodology used |
What corporate travel platforms get
The code your booking data has
TMC exports and booking records carry IATA or ICAO codes. Pass either to the logo endpoint, with no mapping table in between.
Fits reports, cards and lists
Eight static variants, including the default, cover full colour, white, transparent, on white, icon and tail, so one lookup serves report tables, approval cards and compact policy lists.
CO₂ by cabin class
Pass economy, premium economy, business or first. The response also holds the figure for all four cabin classes, which helps when you compare cabins in a report.
A named methodology
Every Carbon API response states the methodology it used, ICAO Carbon Emissions Calculator v13.1, so a report can say which method produced a figure.
Structured or raw input
Send airport and airline codes, or the text of a booking confirmation. Structured input is the dependable path, and the docs list the limits of free text.
Free tier to build on
The Free plan includes 20,000 requests per month, PNG logos up to 200px, and the Airlines Data and Routes APIs. Startup, from $40 per month, raises PNG to 600px and requests to 200,000. For Carbon API access, see the pricing page and the docs.
Which plan fits corporate travel tools
Free covers 20,000 requests per month. Startup starts at $40 per month. Pro and Enterprise add SVG and custom caching. Prices and limits are listed openly.
| Plan | Airline logos (PNG) | SVG | Caching | Requests per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Up to 200px | No | None: request live on each use | 20,000 |
| Startup | Up to 600px | No | Up to 24 hours | 200,000 |
| Pro | High resolution, no size limits | Yes | Custom caching layers | 1,000,000 |
| Enterprise | No size limits | Yes | Custom caching and CDN layers | Unlimited |

When this is not the right tool for corporate travel
- You need a booking engine, GDS or expense processing. logostream supplies airline logos and reference data. Fares, ticketing, policy rules and approval workflows stay in your own system.
- You need audited emissions accounting. The Carbon API returns per-flight estimates under a named methodology; it is not an audit, a certification or a reporting service, so check with your auditor how it fits your disclosure requirements.
How we check this page
Logos and variants shown here are requested live from the Airline Logo API. Flight times, fares and CO2 figures in the demos are sample data and labelled as such. Endpoints and parameters are taken from the public OpenAPI spec.
